OLAPLEX Hair Perfector No. 3: The client takes the Hair Perfector No. 3 home to use once a week. Build into the service price, not a retail product. The client is to apply a generous amount to wet towel-dried hair and leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes, then rinse, shampoo and condition. This is NOT a conditioning treatment to be left on the hair and should be shampooed out of hair at the end. The longer it is left on, the more effective it is, 10 minutes is recommended and may be left on for longer periods of time for even better results. This may be used more than once a week if necessary. What Does this Do. One ingredient changes everything! Developed by two of the worlds leading PhDs in Materials and Chemistry, Dr. Eric Pressly and Dr. Craig Hawker, a single active ingredient OLAPLEX was designed to reconnect the disulfide sulfur bonds broken by the process of permanent hair coloring and lightening. From base color to balayage, OLAPLEX multiplies bonds making hair stronger, healthier, while color lasts longer with more vibrancy. You will see the difference the first time you open the foils and rinse. Your drain will not be full of broken hair. Your client will notice their hair being softer, shinier, easier to manage with less frizz for weeks. Works with all manufacturers formulas, from lightener to color. Free of silicones, oils, aldehydes, parabens and gluten. Simple to use – the professional OLAPLEX service consists of just 3 easy steps. WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW. YOU MUST READ THIS BEFORE USING OLAPLEX. If you add too much OLAPLEX to your lightener, hair will not lift! Do not use more than 1/4oz. Bleach powder mixed with developer. Pay careful attention to scoop size. Many powders contain 1/2oz. OLAPLEX to 2-3 small scoops. Mix your bleach powder with developer thoroughly first, then add OLAPLEX. Do not mix OLAPLEX directly into the bleach powder. After everything is mixed together, you can add more bleach powder for consistency. Processing time will take longer with OLAPLEX. It’s worth the wait. You must increase your developer one full volume – 10v to 20v, 20v to 30v, 30v to 40v. Do not use 10 volume. OLAPLEX dilutes the developer like water diluting cranberry juice. You must bump it up or processing time will take forever. Never use more than 1/8oz. Of OLAPLEX into lightener for balayage halfway to 1/4oz. Line on dosage dispenser. Even if you mix 1oz. Lightener for balayage, still use 1/8oz. Of OLAPLEX in any quantity of base color. Gloss, semi, demi and permanent – you do not need to bump up developer with base color. OLAPLEX has been used thousands of times with amazing results. The only thing that can go wrong is using too much OLAPLEX with lightener or not bumping up your developer one full notch. Of OLAPLEX to 1oz. Of bleach powder mixed with developer. Simple rule to follow: 1/8oz. OLAPLEX mixed into everything except 1/4oz. Of OLAPLEX mixed into 1oz. Olaplex is a single ingredient that is added before and after hair color treatments and other chemical services. It promises to preserve the integrity of the hair and essentially multiply the bonds within the hair shaft. In other words, Olaplex reconnects the broken disulfide sulfur bonds in the hair that were broken down during thermal, mechanical, and chemical services. It is also free of silicone, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, aldehydes, and is never tested on animals. 2 Bond Perfector is a bond multiplier NOT a conditioning treatment. 2 Bond Perfector is NOT optional, it is absolutely necessary after every single service when using Olaplex as it is a system. 1 is meant to help mitigate damage during the color, lightening and relaxing process, however it cannot stop all of it. If it did, you would not get a visible result. 2 is not an activator, neutralizer, sealer or conditioner. 2 contains the same active ingredient as No. 2 finds more single sulfur hydrogen bonds and cross links them back together without color, lightener or relaxers working against it. This is the second step of the Olaplex system, applied at the shampoo bowl. Apply after all processing has been completed and rinsed. Apply a generous amount and comb through thoroughly. Leave on the hair for a minimum of 10-20 minutes. Keep in mind, the longer it’s on, the more effective it is. (If Applicable:Toner) You will actually use no. 2 before your toner if specified not to shampoo your toner out. If you are instructed not to shampoo, then you will rinse highlight, apply No. 2 for a minimum of 10-20 mins, shampoo thoroughly- or TWICE (issues with toners not taking are due to hair not being thoroughly shampooed) and then apply your toner, rinse and condition. If you are able to shampoo a toner out (as per your brand) then you will Rinse highlights, apply toner, process, rinse and apply No2., process a minimum of 10-20 mins, shampoo and condition as normal. While your client has a base color processing, liberally apply to dry or damp hair from mid-shaft to ends as an additional treatment. This is also a great way to prep hair for a double process prior to highlights. As a cutting lotion. Use in place of clear or conditioner in direct dyes to dilute down. 2 Bond Perfector is NOT a conditioning treatment nor is it an activator or neutralizer. It uses the same active ingredient found in the Bond Multiplier No. 1, however developed as a cream form for ease of application and use in the Olaplex System. This second step is necessary with all services for the best results. This is used to link the remaining disulfide bonds before and after service restoring the strength, structure and integrity of the hair. 3 Hair Perfector – Take Home. Step 3 of the of the revolutionary, 3-step OLAPLEX professional system, for once-a-week, at home applications. Created out of a demand for clients wanting to take a little OLAPLEX home with them, we created a small 3.3oz (100ml) bottle of the Hair Perfector. This is a completely optional product and not required for the OLAPLEX No. Due to bonds being continuously broken within the hair through thermal styling, mechanical styling or continued color/perm/relaxer services, the integrity, strength, shine and softness will dissipate in a few weeks to a month dependent on how the hair is treated. 3 Hair Perfector will maintain strength, structure, integrity, softness and shine leading up to the clients next service at the salon. Apply a generous amount to wet towel-dried hair and leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes, then rinse, shampoo and condition.
